There is nothing natural about politics, with the possible exception of self-defence and hunting for prey. Protecting the natural interest and natural security requires ambiguity, deflection and deception. Camouflage is a form of ambiguity in itself.  Blending into the background is a good strategy while preparing to pounce on an unsuspecting victim. The Naturals want a natural future for Australia , even though the rest of the world seems to prefer another sort.  We are innocent of any wrongdoing.  We are not to blame for the fossil fuel use of our ancestors. We do not have a black armband view of history or the future.  Nor do we have a black face, black coalface, brown coalface, nuclear powered or nuclear armed view of anything truly Australian. We are the sunshine party.  We are the full of solar goodness.  We want Australia to be the life and solar of any party, anywhere in the world, and especially at international summits. Many people seem to think there is nothing wrong with an unnaturally changing climate. They apparently believe global warming will improve lives, possibly including their own. They may, for example, live in a cold place and feel quite pleased that their local environment could soon become a little milder. Or they may wish they could afford to live near a beach rather than quite a way inland.  They may possibly be hoping that rising sea levels will make their dreams come true. Whatever they believe, their views are unlikely to be based on fact. If such persons mainly act as political finger puppets for billionaires and factions, they are unlikely have any beliefs of their own whatsoever.  Political finger puppets usually do no more than snap out soundbites as ordered by their controllers. If jobs in agriculture were properly paid, and jobs looking after vulnerable people were properly paid, and jobs cleaning up after overpaid people were properly paid, there would be no need for jobs in catastrophe-inducing industries. But the public does not want to pay a proper price for food. And governments do not want to pay a proper price for the care of vulnerable citizens. The overly paid want to keep earning much more than everyone else, which is why they expect the people doing the cleaning to earn considerably less than enough to live on. For thousands of years, Australia naturally and culturally supported its human and non-human populations without selling out to foreigners. The original Australians did nothing to attract tourists, tertiary students, temporary visa holders and the interests of foreign governments and foreign businesses. Nor did the original Australians do anything to encourage the construction industry in Australia, or agribusiness, or coal mining, or the export of cultural heritage as rubble in batches of iron ore. Ensuring Australian society has a sustainable, natural future, requires the expertise of the original Australians, or whatever remains of their culture at least. According to all the credible scientific evidence, an anthropogenic future for Australia is unsustainable.  Indeed, an anthropogenic future for the Earth in its entirety is unsustainable from the point of view of survival.
